We all know that I try to look on the sunny side, a quest that is certainly easier on some days
than others. That being said, there are a few habits that are practically guaranteed to set me up
for a great day, and I try to implement them as often as possible to facilitate that positive
mindset. The good news is that most of these activities are easy to accomplish in a morning –
and ALL can be made possible with a quick Amazon order, so you can get started on your
sunny-side journey as soon as possible.
In honor of Prime day, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite products to help facilitate these
happier habits. They say money can’t buy happiness, but these things truly do make life a little
sunnier! Plus, we’re all familiar with the joy that is ordering something and having it arrive at
your day a mere day later, so you can consider this an ode to happiness, delivered.
Without further ado, here’s everything you need to have a great day filled with happy habits.
A good night’s sleep. Nothing sets you up for a great day like a great sleep routine, which is
something that I’ve frequently struggled with. However, thanks to my Hatch alarm, I am lulled to
sleep every night with relaxing rain sounds, and I awake to a California sunrise and notes from a
mystical flute floating through the air. There is truly no better way to make sure you start the day
feeling relaxed and revived.
A moment to reflect. I love to write, and I love how I feel when I start the day jotting notes in
my favorite journal even more. No matter what you write down, taking a few minutes (in this
case, literally five of them) to reflect can make all the difference in your mindset, mindfulness,
and mood for the whole day!
Caffeine, please. Enjoying a nice cup of coffee is arguably the best part of the day, and I’ve
romanticized my daily cup of joe by creating the coffee corner of my dreams. Featuring shelves
that are home to my favorite coffee mugs and jars holding my favorite Nespresso Pods, I
have never enjoyed having coffee at home more. If you haven’t given in and purchased your
own Nespresso yet, I’m here to tell you that your mornings are about to get a serious upgrade.
Mindful movement. My favorite days always start with a little exercise, particularly a nice yoga
flow, and there is no yoga without a trusty yoga mat! I’ve had this one for five years, and it’s
been with me through countless Corepower Sculpts and rooftop Melissa Wood Health sessions.
With a perfect thickness for comfort and balance and the best non-slip material, it’s the best of
any brand I’ve tried.
A balanced breakfast. When you’re looking to start your day off on the right foot, a
well-rounded breakfast should be the first thing on the menu. This has been a big priority of
mine lately, and my favorite way to do so is crafting a delicious, protein-packed smoothie! I use
my Ninja Blender almost every day to make all sorts of concoctions, and they simply just taste
better in a glass with a straw.
Hydration. If you’re hoping to feel like your best self, hydration is key, people! I can’t in good
conscience recommend any other tip here other than investing in a new Stanley. It has been
scientifically proven that the prettier and larger your water bottle is, the more hydrated you will
be. No questions at this time.
